Please Tell Me This is Not a Real Phenomenon

I watched this video and it made me wonder why this is a phenomenon. Shopping Videos - I honestly don't get. I think this is just a way to show your obsession to the world, and ask for validation. Not Good - especially in this economy.

Do you think that it's possible that these people are doing this because they want fans to boost their low self esteem ? quite possible. there is something quite narcissistic about this whole genre. it sprung up on YouTube and has grown like wildfire. it ranges from the people who flash their bikini's to the bargain hunters claiming their fame from savings savvy.

we watched some vids of gadget freaks talking about their new phones, pdas, laptops, televisions and even cars. the cars were the most unbelievable. there are stars on YouTube bragging about their Lambo's; Ferrari's and their old 60's Chevy reduxes. Deep..

Could this phenomenon be linked to the new problem of Internet Addiction ? we see people twittering about their newest purses and shoes; even houses. recently we watched someone tweet about getting their birkin bag in the mail. you would have thought they had a baby. the entire day they twittered pics about the bag, pics of the interior, the box and even the genuine shipping box and label to prove it's authenticity.

Duhhh, it's called Photoshop Bish. SMDH

Apparently when you spend a year waiting on a custom made handbag that costs you upwards of $5000.00; Yes Five Thousand Dollars - for the bargain birkin; you want to show it to the world. Twitter It To the Masses - and if you have a cam, why not flash it up on the nets?

First Off, to pay five thousand dollars for a LEATHER Purse seems stupid - but apparently David Beckham bought his woman one with diamonds studded on it for christmas last year. Talk About Over the Top. you won't see Ms. Posh twittering about that baby. as she keeps her birkin collection under heavy venacular we hear - within a locked camera monitored closet. supposedly she's got the worlds' most exclusive collection worth close to a million dollars. yeah right - talking about needing validation. the damn purse is bigger than she is.

below is the short YouTube Version of the Video - To see the complete video which is much more interesting and entertaining -> you should click here to go to current.Com's Site.

Good blog, I began responding ... it became very long and I deleted my answer. I will have to post what I have to say in a blog ... too long otherwise. The "internets' as George W. the Second called it is changing people in ways we have yet to find out.
